Rose Center & Community Organizations

 

Rose Center Council for the Arts is a volunteer driven, not-for-profit organization, and we need your help! Whether you have just a few or many hours to give, whether your talent is for leadership or operations, there is a role for you. Below are just a few of the volunteer opportunities available. Rose Service Guild

 

Do you like to host events, decorate for the holidays, and share your love of the arts with the community?

The Rose Service Guild, chartered in 1979, develops projects that promote and sustain Rose Center. Duties include Artist Receptions, hosting the Holiday Open House, and much more. Meets once each month, typically on the second Monday, for a brown bag lunch.

Artist Advisory Council

 

Are you a visual or performing artist who wants to contribute ideas and expertise to the Rose Center mission?

The Artist Advisory Council is for you! This group serves as the liaison between the artists and educators in the Lakeway community and Rose Center Council for the Arts. Duties include developing events, programming, and advocacy ideas as well as making contacts to expand the Rose Center support base.

Meets every third Thursday at 5:30PM.

Student Advisory Council

 

Are you a young person who believes there should be more arts education opportunities available in our schools and community? Join the Student Advisory Council and help Rose Center connect with the education community in the Lakeway area.

Duties include developing events, programming, and advocacy ideas as well as helping recruit student and teacher membership.

Board of Directors

 

Do you have a talent for leadership and planning? The Rose Center Council for the Arts Board ensures the financial health of the organization.

Duties include setting the annual budget, fundraising, friendraising, and operations oversight.

Meets once each month, typically on the second Thursday.

Task Force on Diversity

 

Do you like making a difference in your community? Do you strive for equality? 

The Morristown Task Force on Diversity strives to make our town a place where all individuals are equally valued solely "by the content of their character."

Duties include working Task Force events, translation, marketing, and introducing Rose Center to new and diverse audiences. 

Meets once each month, typically on the second Tuesday at 3:30PM.

No matter what your talent, there is a role for you!

Would you like to help in the office with filing, mailing, or phones? Do you have a talent for sales that could help support the Rose Center Gallery? Do you just like to have fun and think that assisting with our many events, classes, and programs would be the place for you?
