Acrylic Painting with Dan Gibson


Local artist Dan Gibson is offers his popular acrylic painting workshops at Rose Center. Students will complete an 11"x14" acrylic painting in each class.

Acrylic Paint Pour

Local Artist Jasmine Frost offers an acrylic paint pouring workshop. Students will learn to mix fluid paint, paint pouring techniques, and create cells. 2 8x10 Canvases will be created every class.

Creative Writing

Leslie Conner is a writer of murder mysteries and "all things macabre."  She has had short stories published in literary journals and anthologies, and you can find her flash fiction story "Murder 101" in the Bookends Review.  Workshop series include Beginner's Fiction Writing and Intermediate Fiction Writing.

Cake Decorating

Classes are open to all ages and cover the basics of cake decorating. Topics include baking, making and coloring icing, and the fundamentals of decorating to make beautiful cakes.

Salsa Habana

If you want to lose weight, have fun, and make new friends, come and learn salsa!  Cuban salsa.  Come and participate in partner dancing known as Rueda de Casino.  Developed in Havana, Cuba in the late 1950s and early 1960s, pairs of dancers form a circle, with dance moves called out by the caller.  Bring your family and friends for a night of fun!

Elizabeth Williams Dance Studio

Barre Class 

Barre classes offer a unique full-body workout combining pilates, weights, standing barre work and movements on the floor.  You will sculpt your arms, thighs, and flatten abs in a one-hour session!  All movements are low impact and will help improve posture and balance.  Instructor Connie Ailey has over 7 years of Barre certification and teaching experience.
