Communications Manager/Programs and Events Coordinator Position

Our nonprofit arts organization is looking for a self-motivated communications manager and programs/events coordinator.  Effective written and verbal communication is a must. In addition, this position requires strong organization and time management skills, and the ability to successfully multitask while demonstrating patience and a friendly demeanor. The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. The position will start part time and may develop into full time work as events resume.

Communications Manager

The communications manager tasks will include all forms of verbal and written communications, including radio and tv interviews. The ideal candidate will be eager to tackle the challenges of developing content that helps build brand recognition. Generating buzz about existing and new programs is important to our success. Top candidates will be skilled at creating content that both engages the public and keeps supporters informed about ongoing operations. The communications manager actively promotes Rose Center’s programs and contributes to the mission of the organization. 

Programs/Events Coordinator

This position includes the planning and oversight of concerts, special events, fundraisers, and the annual Mountain Makins Festival. This work requires extreme attention to detail, organizational, communication and time management skills. In addition to planning and executing these events, the tasks include recruiting sponsors, maintaining extensive databases, and publicizing the events. Will require some evening and weekend work.

Rose Center is a non-profit organization and a Designated Agency of the Tennessee Arts Commission (TAC). The Center is located at 442 W. Second North St. in Morristown, TN. Rose Center receives major financial support from TAC and manages the Arts Builds Communities granting program, a program funded by the Tennessee General Assembly, for the
seven-county Lakeway area.
