The 12th Annual International Festival will be held at Rose Center in Morristown on April 19th from 11:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M..  Discover the many different cultures living in the Lakeway Area.  Enjoy the cuisine, history, exhibits and entertainment!  Many nations will provide food booths representing traditional International cuisine from Japan, Germany, India, Belgium, Southwestern USA and others. 
 
Entertainment will include Okinawan dancers, traditional children’s fashions of India, Avec La Force African percussion, Chinese dance and others.  The Marketplace will include Bean Scene - fresh roasted coffee, Barbara’s Blings - pearl and stone jewelry, L&M Spices, Mountain Dreams soy candles and Cherokee pottery and much more.  Exhibits will display architecture and furnishings from Japan, Cameroon, Germany, India, New Orleans as well as a display of German Schildkröt Dolls.

This year’s German exhibit will feature German celluloid dolls most of which are made by the German company Schildkroete (turtle mark).  The first celluloid dolls were made by the company in 1896, the material is very fragile, so not very many dolls have survived.  Schildkroete started operating again in former East Germany in the small town of Rauenstein making reproductions of the original dolls.  The collection shown will include some of the old dolls as well as some of the reproductions.  There also will be a variety of other dolls, bears and toys.  This is a chance for all toy lovers young and old to see some special items.
