Rose Service Guild    April Meeting    Rose Service Guild

April Meeting Date:
Monday, April 14, 2008

Time: 12 Noon

Place: Rose Center

Sherry Montgomery is not only a hostess (with Carmen Kammann), but she is also presenting the program!  She and Carmen will be serving salad, beef stew, and dessert.  This is National Public Health Week,- her program will be on what the local Health Department (her employer) offers you and the Community.  It’s not all shots and pamphlets!

We will also be voting on our new slate of officers for the 2008-2009 Guild year.  They are: Cindy Moses, President; Sherry Montgomery, Vice President; Diana Seay, Treasurer; Cathy Scott, Recording Secretary, Judy Upton, Corresponding Secretary, Vicky Green, Advisor and Delegate to the Rose Center Board.

*  Greetings!  *

From Debbie Fulmer:
Please pick up some tickets to sell for the Pancake Breakfast that is being held Saturday, April 12th from 7:00-10:00 A.M. in Prater Hall. They are really easy to sell if you just ask people. If you are making baked goods (breakfast baked goodies are especially needed), you can drop them off in the office Friday or EARLY Sat. Sharry Bergman will be there before 7:00 A.M.

I have misplaced the list of Reception Hostesses that I had passed around at the last meeting.  We have a reception for the Middle Schools’ Exhibit on Sunday, April 27, from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. .  We have plenty of cookies and Brownies left over from the Art’s Luncheon to use so all we have to do is make punch and set the table.  If you signed up or if you can help, please call me.  Patty and I did it ourselves last month with no problem.

And lastly, we have decided to join the Belk’s Special Sale on May 3rd.  (Tickets are required to get in for special sales from 6:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M.)  We will have tickets available to sell for $5.00 each - every ticket we sell is pure profit for the Guild.  And, we can also set up a table for a bake sale or other clever idea, which will also benefit us.
