WALLACE COLEMAN IN CONCERT

Wallace Coleman first met Robert Lockwood Jr. in 1985. They became fast friends, with Coleman playing in the local bluesman's band for a decade. This was the beginning of Coleman’s professional music career.  Coleman’s professional music career had begun.  He embarked upon an exciting new path which would eventually lead to the forming of the Wallace Coleman Band, the creation of his own label (Ella Mae Music, formerly Pinto Blue Music) and recording of his own music (“Stretch My Money,” “Live At Joe’s,” and “The Bad Weather Blues”) at the urging of Lockwood himself.  Coleman would go on to travel the world with his own music, garnering high praise from Blues critics.   Coleman recalls his friendship with Lockwood in "Robert Jr.," the anchor to “Blues in the Wind – Remembering Robert Jr. Lockwood,”  his most recent CD which was dedicated to his late pal.
